Dooly County Sheriff’s Office – June 26, 2018
James Forrest Miller II, a 56-year-old male resident of Unadilla, Dooly County was arrested at approximately 2:20 p.m. on June 25, 2018. The Dooly County Sheriff’s Office received information of Miller’s whereabouts at approximately 10:50 a.m. and deputies immediately responded to 611 W. Railroad Street in Unadilla. Once on scene, deputies discovered that Miller had fled from the residence prior to their arrival.
Miller was seen entering 539 W. Railroad Street, an unoccupied building. Firefighters with the Unadilla Fire Department responded to assist deputies with gaining entry into the building and accessing the second floor. Miller’s belongings were recovered on the second story of this location.
Dooly County Sheriff’s Office investigators took Miller into custody a short time later. Miller was arrested on outstanding warrants for burglary and theft by receiving stolen property - felony. Miller was transported to the Dooly County Justice Center. Miller was out on bond for two previous burglaries that he is a suspect in and possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges will be forthcoming with regards to this incident and findings.
